Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, I collect the data shown in the comments form and also the visitor’s IP address and the browser user agent string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded position data (EXIF GPS) included. Website visitors can download and extract any location data from the images on the website.

Contact form

There are contact forms on the website. Through these modules I allow potential customers to contact me for work reasons. The requested data are name, surname and email: they are used only for conversations relating to the activity requested by the user.

For the delivery and management of the Newsletter, alfamotori.com uses the service offered by MailChimp (The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 512 Means St., Suite 404 – 30318 – Atlanta, Georigia) and then simply “MailChimp”. The data collected is stored on MailChimp’s secure servers.

UNder the privacy policy of MailChimp your data will never be used directly by MailChimp or sold by it to third parties. MailChimp uses appropriately authorized operators to maintain the service and in the exercise of this function they may have access to your data. In any case, the guarantees provided by the law apply privacy policy of MailChimp.

In relation to the purposes described below, when the administrator sends the newsletter, the data is retrieved using the tools made available by MailChimp and through them the newsletter will be sent.

How I protect your data

WordPress, as CMS, does not share data with anyone. The same applies to emails sent by the contact form. I have chosen Aruba as a hosting service, it protects personal data with an SSL certificate and does not use profiling or remarketing systems.

How long I keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This is how we can automatically recognize and approve any follow-up comments instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time (except their username that they cannot change). Website administrators can also view and modify this information.

What rights you have on your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive a file exported from the site with the personal information we have about you, including the data you provided.
